Business Analyst – Data Consultant

  • Full time, fixed term role for 12 months
  • Geelong location (currently working from home)
  • Salary $119, 898 base, plus superannuation

About the Role

The main responsibilities of this role are to perform business analysis, data analysis and relationship management using the available data to improve business efficiency, productivity and performance. The role will be assigned to a claims division within the TAC and will share it’s time working between this division and the Business Intelligence branch.

Day to day tasks will include:

  • Maintaining a deep understanding of the business environment
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with several key stakeholders
  • Conducting research, risk analysis and contingency plans
  • Developing, presenting and influencing business solutions based on data
  • Supporting your assigned division to work through the proposed solutions
  • Documenting detailed and clear business requirements, ensuring translation for business users whilst maintaining specific detail for developers
  • Managing the assigned division’s request priorities in line with TAC organisational priorities and competing demand

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven experience in a Business Analyst role with a focus on reporting and data
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Business analysis techniques and tools
  • Collaborative solution design between technical specialists and business users
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical documents
  • Experience with corporate reporting tools and their associated visualisation in a data warehouse environment
