Right now, we’re seeking an IT Security Operations Manager who will play their part in this shared purpose. Someone with the right skills and expertise, as well as attitude and openness to new ideas, that help advance positive outcomes for the organisation, their colleagues, and themselves.
Two organisations. One IT division.
This role is for a position in the IT Shared Solutions (ITSS) division. A collaboration area in which the TAC and Worksafe Victoria share resources to deliver IT solutions. If successful in your application, you’ll be working across both organisations.
About the role
The IT Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effective cyber security of the organisation's information systems, networks and data. They will provide guidance and innovative strategies to ensure the organisation’s security policy meets the constantly changing cyber security landscape. In addition they will be responsible for the end-to-end vulnerability management function, including scope, implementation and remediation. Finally they will work with vendors and partners to ensure robust security measures are in place to protect the organisations information systems.
What we’re looking for
Strong technical experience
Relevant tertiary qualifications, industry certifications and/or substantial IT systems management and industry experience and strong technical experience across a range of Security technologies (such as Splunk, Trend Micro, Carbon Black, CyberArk, Gemalto, Qualys etc).
Innovative thinker
Strong conceptual and analytical skills to drive improvements in innovation and service quality. The IT Security Operations Manager will play a leading role in driving safe and secure strategic initiatives:
- The migration from on premise to AWS over the next 12 months.
- Establishing a new cloud operating model to ensure the team are set up for success now and as more services are migrated to public cloud.
- Transitioning to a new Managed Service Agreement that supports the move to cloud platforms and modern IT operations.
- Continuing to build and define platform services on WorkSafe and TAC’s strategic platforms, including AWS, Azure, Microsoft365 and Salesforce.
Proven leader
Significant experience in a similar role, managing the end-to-end delivery of IT Security Operations services in a multi sourced environment with experience providing direction, leadership and mentoring to team members. Including demonstrated experience in influencing business and other stakeholders to drive positive service outcomes and the ability to influence.
