Care in Action

With a career at the TAC, you’ll be helping us look out for the lives of everyone who travels on Victoria’s roads. That’s care in action.

Find out more about our shared purpose, and what drives every one of us.

Right now, we’re seeking an IDAM Engineer who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. That’s truly rewarding work that will help us continue to deliver life-critical services where it matters.

About the role

We’re seeking a highly skilled IDAM Engineer to lead the design and delivery of secure, efficient, and compliant identify and access management solutions within the TAC’s Microsoft Program. This role will focus on implementing Microsoft Entra ID capabilities, while ensuring seamless integration with existing platforms like Okta and One Identity.

You’ll be responsible for configuring identity lifecycle management, entitlement and privileged access controls, and authentication protocols such as MFA and SSO. You’ll also play a key role in developing automated governance workflows and supporting compliance with industry standards.

About the Team

You’ll join a collaborative, cloud-focused team that’s driving digital transformation across the TAC. The MPower Program is a cornerstone of this work, and the IDAM stream is critical to ensuring secure and streamlined access for all users. This role will form part of a cross-functional cloud team delivering across cloud platforms such as M365, Azure, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform and building integrated, scalable solutions that support TAC’s mission and compliance obligations.

What we’re looking for

Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID & Identity Governance

You have experience designing and managing Microsoft Entra ID environments, including identity lifecycle, access reviews, and privileged identity management.

Integration & Automation Skills

You’re using tools like PowerShell, Azure DevOps and GitHub to automate identity workflows and operations, including integrating Entra ID with platforms like Okta and One Identity.

Security & Compliance Focus

You understand authentication protocols, conditional access, and compliance frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, CIS), and can apply them practically to ensure TAC’s identity environment is secure and audit ready.

Why you’ll love it here

There’s more to work than a competitive salary and amazing employee benefits. As our newest IDAM Engineer you’ll also:

Be rewarded for great work

We value our people, offering a corporate incentive, salary packaging and a reward and recognition program.

Grow and go places

We’re invested in your progress. When you work for one of Victoria’s largest and leading workplaces, you’ll receive extensive internal opportunities for development and access to the LinkedIn Learning Digital Hub.

Achieve, together

We’re a collaborative and empathetic workplace. Work alongside your team to make a truly positive difference to people’s lives.
