Right now, we’re seeking an Operations Accountant who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. About the role

This role will see you responsible for maintaining the General Ledger, Balance Sheet reconciliations and fixed assets, as well as assisting the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. You will be responsible for the recording of premium collection, prepayments, the Taxable Payments Annual Report and also assisting in the annual budget process, year-end reporting, financial projects and other finance related tasks.

Unique to the TAC, you will prepare general ledger reconciliations and maintain the financial system for our Residential Independence Pty Ltd (RIPL), which is independent housing for our most injured clients. The role also works closely with the Senior Operations Accountant and has the opportunity to assist and support key financial projects throughout the year.

 

About the Team

The Operations Accountant sits within the Finance Operations team, within the wider Finance & Governance Division. Within the team you will work collaboratively with the Banking Officer and the Accounts Payable Officer day to day. The team is supported by the Senior Operations Accountant, who encourages a strong team culture in a professional but relaxed style.

 

What we’re looking for

Prior experience

Relevant tertiary qualification desirable, and/or experience in a similar role including demonstrated ability to collate and produce accurate financial and general statistical information.

Strong relationship management and stakeholder experience

Experience in developing meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Numeracy and problem solving skills

Strong numeracy and problem solving skills as well as excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records. Proven ability to take initiative and work independently.
