Care in Action
With a career at the TAC, you’ll be helping us look out for the lives of everyone who travels on Victoria’s roads. That’s care in action.

Find out more about our shared purpose, and what drives every one of us.

Right now, we’re seeking a Strategy Manager who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. That’s truly rewarding work that will help us continue to deliver life-critical services where it matters.

About the role
As the Strategy Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the TAC’s strategic direction, working alongside the Executive and Senior Leadership teams to address organisational challenges and opportunities. You’ll lead a small team of strategy professionals, overseeing the development of strategic papers for the Board and driving corporate performance improvements across the organisation. This role offers the chance to engage with senior stakeholders both internally and externally, coordinate strategy-aligned workshops, and build strategic knowledge across the business through insights into organisational performance. With a blend of leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on project work, no two days will be the same.

About the Team

  • This role will be a part of our Strategy Team within the Strategy and Research Branch, part of the Performance, Risk and Strategy Division, which is responsible for driving strategic development and planning across the organisation.
  • Working closely with a small, high achieving, and adaptable team, you will be joining a collaborative, friendly, and inclusive environment that is highly connected across the organisation and committed to delivering high-impact outcomes.
  • You will be supported by a Senior Manager who has a collaborative management style, working closely with the team to foster idea-sharing and involve everyone in problem-solving, while encouraging high levels of autonomy.

Deep understanding of corporate performance measurements and frameworks, with the ability to apply insights and analytics to improve organisational outcomes.

A degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, providing a solid foundation for strategic analysis and decision-making.
