About the role

The Executive General Manager Finance and Governance is part of the Executive Leadership team and plays a pivotal role in shaping the success of the TAC. The TAC aims to manage revenue efficiently to achieve the best possible road safety and client recovery outcomes.  The role is pivotal to leading the TAC’s high performance especially through strategic management of the significant budget and investment portfolio, procurement and in leading a program of continuous governance improvement to position the TAC at the forefront of integrity, efficiency, compliance and sustainability.


About the Team


Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will lead the Finance and Governance division, which includes Governance and Integrity, Finance and Procurement, and Corporate Legal. This role will provide strategic leadership to foster a high performing culture and be a trusted advisor to the Executive Team, Chief Executive Officer and the Board.

What we’re looking for

Strategic executive experience

A strategic thinker with extensive expertise in finance, procurement and governance with the ability to analyse, interpret and apply significant judgement to complex information, manage issues and identify and implement improvement solutions, while proactively anticipating risks and opportunities.

Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills  

Proven capability in building and managing strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrates skill in leading and developing multi-functional teams, cultivating a high performing culture and financial environment.

Operate with integrity, professionalism and confidence

Demonstrates high level of discretion, trust and pragmatism, ensuring the TAC’s interests are safeguarded whilst being exposed to highly sensitive and confidential matters.
