About the role

The Process Automation Technical Lead is responsible for providing technical expertise in the design, build, and implementation of enterprise process automation platforms & solutions at the TAC. Acting as the technical platform owner, the role ensures platform & solutions are configured to best practices and TAC’s needs while working collaboratively with IT Shared Services (ITSS), DXC, architecture team, project teams, and business stakeholders. The role also plays a key part in delivering an enterprise pipeline of process optimisation that ensures success of strategic outcomes that enhance business efficiency and TAC client experience.

About the Team

Reporting to the Manager Automation and Integration this role sits within the Digital Delivery Branch in the Enterprise Transformation Division which successfully delivers the organisation’s strategic priorities cost effectively and in a way that optimises client outcomes, employee experience and a positive community impact. You will be joining a high performing team who have a wide range of experience and are open to continuous learning.

What we’re looking for

Leadership experience

Proven ability to act as a lead developer or technical lead across the lifecycle of automation solutions, from ideation to implementation and support.

Proven technical experience including:

  • Deep expertise in at least one enterprise-grade RPA platform (e.g. UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism) and one low-code platform (e.g. Pega, Appian, OutSystems).
  • Familiar with common RPA and low-code use cases (e.g. task automation, workflow orchestration, document processing, case management).
  • Demonstrated ability to design automation solutions as re-usable components aligned to business capabilities and value streams.
  • Familiarity with patterns for platform management, including versioning, credential vaults, and logging/auditability.
  • Understanding of platform governance, security (including data handling, authentication, and authorisation), performance monitoring, and exception handling.

Strong Written and verbal communication skills

Ability to clearly explain technical designs to non-technical stakeholders and engage collaboratively with business SMEs as well as external vendors.
