About the role

The Manager, Contract and Vendor Performance plays a pivotal role in ensuring the commercial success of TAC’s technology-enabled transformation. You will lead the strategic management of the TAC’s ICT contracts, major vendor relationships and transformation services procurement - ensuring TAC secures value, manages risk, and partners effectively with suppliers who enable our Make Every Day Matter Strategy.

Your impact will span strategy, delivery and capability uplift. You will oversee the performance, governance and lifecycle management of critical suppliers, ensuring contracts align with enterprise architecture, organisational risk appetite and transformation priorities. You will also build the internal capability needed for effective vendor management- embedding frameworks, coaching teams and strengthening TAC’s commercial acumen.

This role requires a commercially confident leader who can navigate complexity, influence with authority and proactively manage large-scale technology partnerships. You will bring together people, process, data and technology considerations to drive business value and shape TAC’s vendor and contract management maturity.

About the Team

This role sits within the Enterprise Transformation Division, supporting the delivery of TAC’s strategic priorities in a way that optimises client outcomes, enhances the employee experience and delivers positive community impact.

You will manage a small, dynamic and highly skilled team. You will have the opportunity to establish this team as it grows with the people and skills to build the capability needed for TAC’s transformation success. Reporting to the General Manager Transformation Engagement who is collaborative, outcome-focused and coaching-oriented, you will be supported and empowered to play a central role in strengthening TAC’s commercial foundations and ensuring our partnerships with major technology vendors are effective, sustainable and future-ready.  This role will work closely with the Finance and Governance Division ensuring consistency and alignment with our procurement and legal requirements.

What we’re looking for

Commercial & Contract Management Leader

You bring deep expertise in commercial management within complex transformation environments, including managing major technology contracts and working closely with system integrators. Confident and persuasive, you negotiate effectively, address issues constructively and ensure vendors meet contractual, performance and compliance expectations. You operate with strong commercial acumen and a clear understanding of risk, value and long-term sustainability.

Strategic Procurement & Category Specialist

You have significant experience leading end-to-end sourcing, developing category strategies, and driving value-for-money outcomes. Your strong understanding of lifecycle planning and supplier markets enables you to deliver commercial outcomes while building future-focused partnerships. Experience working with Information Technology is mandatory, with Infrastructure, Health or Retail also considered.

Collaborative Influencer & Trusted Partner

You excel at building relationships and navigating complex stakeholder environments - from project delivery teams to governance, finance and technology groups. You influence with credibility, bring a solutions-focused mindset, resolve issues constructively, and proactively identify risks and opportunities. Experience in public sector or regulated environments is advantageous.

Capability Builder & People Leader

You are passionate about uplifting capability across transformation and technology teams - coaching others, embedding commercial frameworks, and promoting a culture of strong vendor governance. You role-model TAC’s values, demonstrating honesty, integrity and a commitment to improving outcomes for clients, employees and the community.
