About the role
The TAC Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the delivery of the TAC’s Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) strategy including the operationalisation of the TAC’s HSW Management System, coordination and event management of key HSW activations and initiatives and the administration of the HSW Incident and Injury Management systems and associated processes.
About the Team
This role will be a part of our passionate and driven Health Safety and Wellbeing team which sits within our broader People, Culture & Engagement division. The team consists of three Consultants and a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator who report into the Manager, Health Safety and Wellbeing. You will be joining an open, honest and supportive team who contribute to a high-performing culture where people are capable and empowered to deliver exceptional results for our clients and community.
What we’re looking for
Relevant experience and knowledge in a Health, Safety and Wellbeing role
- Demonstrated experience working in a HSW role
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant OHS legislation, guidelines and OHS management practices
- Experience coordinating a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Committee and First Aid Officer network, including the preparation of quarterly HSW committee meeting agendas and minutes
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in assisting with the development of preventative strategies to minimise health and safety risks in the workplace
Strong Communication Skills and Team Player
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Motivated and Strategic Thinker
- Support with leading key initiatives in line with the HSW strategy to positively influence and drive positive HSW outcomes for the organisation and people
- Ability to objectively consider data to make objective judgements and recommendations, considering the broader impact beyond individual pieces
