Right now, we’re seeking a Contract Support & Purchasing Officer who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. About the role
As a Contract Support & Purchasing Officer, you will support Strategic Procurement by maintaining the TAC’s Contract Register. Your responsibilities will include registering a range of contracts, managing the on-boarding, maintenance, and exit of vendors, ensuring smooth transitions and effective vendor relationships.
You will process allocated purchase requisitions and purchase orders, contributing to the efficient operation of procurement activities. Additionally, you will oversee the procurement reporting function using the Financial Management & Procurement System (Microsoft Dynamics 365), providing valuable insights and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in optimising procurement processes and supporting the TAC’s strategic objectives.
About the Team
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly experienced, long standing team.
This role will be a part of our procurement team within the Finance and Procurement branch. You will be supported by a manager who values your autonomy and ability to exercise judgment whilst encouraging you to think innovatively and push the boundaries to try new approaches. Working in an open and diverse team, you will feel supported to contribute with your unique style of thinking and experiences.
What we’re looking for
Critical Stakeholder Management Skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple diverse and complex internal/ external stakeholder relationships.
Government Procurement Experience
A developed understanding of government procurement principles, precedents and applicable legislation is highly advantageous.
Analytical & Systems Skills
Strong analytical and systems skills to manage procurement and financial systems, ensuring compliance and providing insightful analysis in a fast-paced environment.
