Care in Action
With a career at the TAC, you’ll be helping us look out for the lives of everyone who travels on Victoria’s roads. That’s care in action.
Find out more about our shared purpose, and what drives every one of us.
Right now, we’re seeking a Senior Consultant Learning & Capability who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. That’s truly rewarding work that will help us continue to deliver life-critical services where it matters.

About the role
We’re seeking a passionate and strategic Learning and Capability Consultant to design and deliver a plan that bridges the gap between the capabilities we have today and the skills our people will need for the future. In this role, you’ll build learning pathways and the supporting development infrastructure to enable internal agility, capability uplift, and career growth aligned to our Make Every Day Matter Strategy. Drawing on your deep expertise in capability development—and ideally, broader organisational development experience—you’ll play a critical role in shaping how we grow, enable and retain our talent.
You’ll lead initiatives that empower employees to navigate career paths within the organisation and take ownership of their development. You’ll partner closely with leaders to make career development practical and transparent, helping them embed meaningful guidance and support for growth into their leadership rhythm. Collaborating across the business, you’ll ensure our development frameworks and career tools stay aligned with evolving priorities.
If you’re motivated by creating systems that empower growth, enable mobility and build the workforce of the future, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact.

What we’re looking for

Significant experience in strategic capability development
Demonstrated experience developing and executing a division or organisation-wide future-focused capability strategy

Previous experience building learning and career pathways
Proven experience designing and implementing frameworks and pathways that support targeted capability development and career progression

Proven project management experience
Project Management experience in establishing project plans, setting goals and tracking performance and impacts

Advanced communication and consulting skills
Proven communication and consulting skills across a range of stakeholders, including developing communications material and plans, understanding stakeholder needs and managing stakeholder relationships in order to deliver tailored frameworks and programs which meet business needs.
Previous experience working in an agile environment and applying iterative, human-centred approaches is highly desirable.
