Right now, we’re seeking a Senior Manager, Legislation & Privacy who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. About the role 

As Senior Manager, Legislation & Privacy, you will lead the TAC’s legislative, legal policy, and privacy functions. This is a pivotal executive role responsible for ensuring the Transport Accident Act 1986 remains contemporary, responsive and sustainable.

You’ll oversee legislative amendments, provide expert advice to internal and government stakeholders, and manage the organisation’s information and privacy obligations. With oversight of 25 staff, and direct leadership of 4 managers, you’ll shape strategy, influence policy, and safeguard compliance while driving innovation in privacy and information management.

You’ll join the Community Division, which is dedicated to engaging, educating, and influencing the Victorian community, stakeholders and our people. Our mission is to build trust, empower our people, foster a safety-first road culture, and deliver the best outcomes for our clients.

 

What we’re looking for

 

Proven expertise in legislation & policy

You have extensive experience leading legislative amendments and subordinate legislation programs, along with deep knowledge of government legislation processes, statutory frameworks, and regulatory environments.

 

Exceptional leadership & stakeholder engagement

You’re able to inspire and manage multi-functional teams, fostering collaboration and high performance. You are skilled in building partnerships with government, regulators, and external advisors.

 

Forward thinking privacy and risk management capability

Strong background in privacy, FOI processes, and organisational risk management. Capacity to provide strategic advice that balances compliance requirements with business transformation needs.
