Care in Action
With a career at the TAC, you’ll be helping us look out for the lives of everyone who travels on Victoria’s roads. That’s care in action.
Find out more about our shared purpose, and what drives every one of us.
Right now, we’re seeking a Program Director – Digital Claims Platform
who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. That’s truly rewarding work that will help us continue to deliver life-critical services where it matters.
About the role
The Program Director – Digital Clients Platform is a critical leadership role responsible for delivering one of TAC’s most significant transformation programs: the replacement of our 17-year-old core Claims platform. Leading a multi-year, enterprise-wide digital transformation, you will guide the transition to a modern claims environment, including large-scale data and function migration, process redesign and automation and the uplift of digital capability across TAC.
You will shape, lead and govern a program that is central to the TAC’s future service model. You will build and lead a multi-vendor delivery team (80+ at peak), ensure program outcomes are delivered safely, on time and within budget and partner closely with senior leaders to embed new ways of working.
This is a rare opportunity to step into a critical program at a pivotal moment, supporting tender completion, shaping delivery structures, and building the specialist team required to execute a transformation of this scale.
About the Team
You will join the Enterprise Transformation Senior Leadership team, a high performing, experienced and cohesive senior leadership team delivering the large-scale programs that shape the TAC of the future. The division works across the organisation to deliver transformation in a way that optimises client outcomes, enhances employee experience and strengthens community trust.
You will report to the EGM Enterprise Transformation, a progressive, aspirational and outcomes-driven leader who provides clarity of direction and strong support while empowering you with the autonomy to lead your program. You will work closely with the EGM and General Managers across the Clients division closely to deliver the transformation.
You will start with a small, established team of five and be empowered to build and shape your expanded delivery team as the program scales.
What we’re looking for
Claims Platform & Enterprise Transformation Expert
You bring deep experience delivering enterprise-scale claims or insurance transformation programs, including platform replacement and large-scale data migration. You have led major, complex delivery streams with multiple dependencies and bring a proven ability to navigate competing priorities with composure, judgement and clarity. You understand claims operations, policy and service models, and can translate this into digital delivery success.
Commercial, Vendor & Financial Leader
You have significant experience leading multi-vendor delivery environments, including system integrators and specialist partners. With strong commercial and financial acumen, you have managed large program budgets and ensured value, performance and accountability across complex vendor ecosystems.
Strategic Influencer & Collaborative Partner
You are an exceptional communicator who builds trust and alignment across senior executives, operational leaders and external stakeholders. You can influence decisions in complex environments, resolve issues constructively, and lead with transparency, bringing clarity to ambiguity and uniting teams behind shared outcomes.
Inspiring People Leader
You are a strong, grounded and authentic leader who brings people on the journey. You build high-performing, purpose-driven teams and foster a culture that is collaborative, supportive and focused on delivery. You model TAC’s values and lead through change with empathy, accountability and optimism.
Why you’ll love it here
There’s more to work than a competitive salary and amazing employee benefits. As our newest Program Director – Digital Claims Platform, you’ll also:
