 Care in Action

With a career at the TAC, you’ll be helping us look out for the lives of everyone who travels on Victoria’s roads. That’s care in action.

Find out more about our shared purpose, and what drives every one of us.

Right now, we’re seeking a Contract & Vendor Relations Specialist who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. That’s truly rewarding work that will help us continue to deliver life-critical services where it matters.

About the role

The Contract & Vendor Relations Specialist plays a key role in supporting the procurement and contract management of IT services within the Enterprise Transformation division.

Working across a range of transformation initiatives, you will lead and coordinate procurement activities, support contract development and management and ensure vendor relationships deliver value, performance and alignment with strategic priorities. You will operate at the intersection of business, technology and procurement, bringing a practical, solutions-focused approach to sourcing, contract coordination and vendor engagement.

This role will see you partnering closely with project teams, Procurement, Legal and vendors to ensure procurement processes are compliant, efficient and fit-for-purpose in an agile delivery environment. You will also contribute to uplifting capability across the division, supporting better vendor management practices, improving contract visibility and enabling more effective commercial decision-making.

About the Team

This role sits within the Enterprise Transformation division, which brings together business, digital, change and delivery expertise to enable sustainable, enterprise-wide outcomes that optimise client experience, employee experience and community impact.

You will join a small, newly established team, offering an exciting opportunity to help shape ways of working, team culture and vendor management practices from the ground up.

The environment is highly collaborative, people-focused and fast-paced, where curiosity, continuous improvement and shared accountability are strongly valued.

What we’re looking for

Procurement & Vendor Management Experience

You bring experience in IT procurement and contract coordination, with a solid understanding of contract lifecycle management. You’re confident supporting sourcing activities, drafting and managing contracts, and monitoring vendor performance to ensure value and compliance. Experience in a government or regulated environment will be highly regarded.

Detail-Oriented & Commercially Aware

You have a strong eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring procurement and contract activities are accurate, timely and aligned with governance requirements. You bring sound commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret contract terms, identify risks and support informed decision-making.

Collaborative & People-Focused Partner

You build strong relationships across business, technology and vendor stakeholders, working collaboratively to achieve outcomes. You are proactive, adaptable and confident engaging with a range of stakeholders, contributing to a positive team culture and supporting capability uplift across the division.

There’s more to work than a competitive salary and amazing employee benefits. As our newest Contract & Vendor Relations Specialist, you’ll also:
