Care in Action

With a career at the TAC, you’ll be helping us look out for the lives of everyone who travels on Victoria’s roads. That’s care in action.

Find out more about our shared purpose, and what drives every one of us.

Right now, we’re seeking a Project Manager – High Performing Culture who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. That’s truly rewarding work that will help us continue to deliver life-critical services where it matters.

About the role

As a Project Manager – High Performing Culture you will lead the delivery of high-impact people and culture initiatives that underpin TAC’s High Performing Culture ambition. Helping to build a safe, inclusive and constructive organisational culture to unleash our people’s potential, enable technology transformation and create positive outcomes for the Victorian community.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering complex business transformation initiatives across culture, organisational design, legislative compliance, talent and workforce practices. Working closely with senior leaders and internal stakeholders, you will translate strategic intent into disciplined delivery, ensuring clear governance, strong stakeholder engagement and accountability for outcomes.

This is not a technical IT project management role, however, the ability to understand and translate information between technical and non-technical stakeholders will be required to effectively enable a broader technology transformation. We are seeking experienced business transformation Project Managers who are comfortable sitting with sponsors, facilitating decisions, managing schedules, dependencies, risks, reporting, and guiding the organisation through meaningful change. You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, bringing judgement, steadiness and credibility to complex, people-centric change.

About the Team

This role sits within the Enterprise Transformation division, which is responsible for delivering TAC’s most significant strategic and transformation initiatives. The division brings together business, digital, change and delivery expertise to enable sustainable, enterprise-wide outcomes that optimise client experience, employee experience and community impact.

Reporting to the Program Manager – High Performing Culture, you will work in a collaborative, outcomes-focused environment alongside a Senior Project Manager, experienced Change specialists and People & Culture leaders. The culture is built on trust, accountability and curiosity, with leaders empowered to own their delivery while partnering closely across the organisation to achieve shared outcomes.

What we’re looking for

Extensive Project Management Experience

Demonstrated experience delivering projects within a large and complex organisation, with strong knowledge of the full project lifecycle from planning through to implementation and benefits realisation.

Business Transformation & Stakeholder Engagement

Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation. This includes facilitating decision-making, influencing outcomes, managing change, and building strong relationships to drive project success

Delivery Professional with Sound Judgement

You combine strong planning discipline with practical, hands-on delivery. You are comfortable managing schedules, dependencies, risks, governance and reporting, while providing confidence and stability to senior leaders navigating complex change.

Why you’ll love it here

There’s more to work than a competitive salary and amazing employee benefits. As our newest Project Manager, you’ll also:

Every day the work you do at the TAC contributes to something bigger. As part of an inclusive, supportive team you’ll find real purpose in achieving goals, together.

Be rewarded for great work

We value our people, offering a service delivery payment, salary packaging and a reward and recognition program.
