Right now, we’re seeking a Senior Consultant, Future Workforce Design who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. About the role

As Senior Consultant, Future Workforce Design, you will work closely with Business Partners and business leaders to translate strategic priorities, operating model changes and technology modernisation into practical future workforce plans.

Bringing specialist expertise in workforce forecasting and design, capability planning and scenario analysis, you will identify how work will change, the capabilities the TAC will need and the actions required to move from the current to future workforce. You will facilitate strategic workforce planning, develop evidence-based scenarios, assess workforce gaps and risks, and recommend practical transition strategies using levers such as build, buy, borrow, redeploy, redesign and automate.

About the Team

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Learning and Capability, this role sits within the People Capability Branch in the People & Culture division. You will join a collaborative, supportive and outcomes-focused team that is passionate about enabling the TAC and its people to thrive.

You will be supported by a manager who promotes a highly engaged, trusting and inclusive team culture.

What we’re looking for

Strategic workforce planning expertise

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic workforce planning, workforce strategy, organisational design, capability planning or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning methodologies, capability frameworks and strategies, workforce segmentation and scenario planning.
  • Experience working in a complex organisation undergoing transformation or significant workforce change will be highly regarded.

Analysis, scenario design and strategic advice

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex workforce information and translate insights into clear, practical and evidence-based strategic advice.
  • Experience developing future workforce scenarios that consider strategic, technological and organisational change, including AI, automation and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to identify critical roles, capabilities, workforce segments, material gaps, risks and opportunities, and recommend sustainable transition actions.

Senior stakeholder partnering and facilitation

  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to translate business strategy into future workforce requirements and practical interventions.
  • Strong facilitation, consulting and influencing skills, with experience leading future workforce design and capability conversations with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Business, Workforce Planning or a related discipline are desirable.
