That’s truly rewarding work that will help us continue to deliver life-critical services where it matters.
About the role
The Senior Manager, Guided Recovery Work leads a large, people‑centred branch dedicated to helping clients achieve their recovery and independence outcomes – especially focused on meaningful participation in work - following a transport accident.
Stepping into the role, you will rapidly assess the systems, structures and transformational levers that shape client outcomes, using insight to influence change, uplift performance and embed initiatives that strengthen both client experience and the TAC’s organisational strategic objectives.
About the Team
The role will have around 6–10 direct reports, Team Managers, who lead through TAC values, modelling collaboration, empathy and purposeful action as they guide a branch of around 80 purpose-driven employees dedicated to helping clients recover and regain independence after injury.
You’ll be supported by the General Manager, Claims Management Group, who provides highly affiliative, strategic and transformational leadership and creates the conditions for high performance, operational success and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
-
Strategic Leadership that drives Actionable Change.
You shape the future direction of Guided Recovery Work by translating data and insights into clear, actionable and effective operational strategies. You identify the transformational levers—systems, structures, partnerships and performance drivers—that uplift outcomes, strengthen scheme sustainability and ensure the branch contributes meaningfully to the TAC’s strategic goals.
-
High Performance Culture
You lead a large, multidisciplinary workforce with clarity, empathy and accountability, setting and achieving performance targets. You drive a high‑performance, positive culture that balances commercial, clinical and person‑centred recovery disciplines, ensuring teams feel supported, empowered and equipped to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
-
Innovative, Client‑Centred Recovery Expertise and Influence
You bring deep insight into recovery pathways and early intervention, designing responsive and innovative strategies that optimise independence, return to work and participation. You collaborate across the Clients Senior Leadership Team and influence the broader health and vocational sectors to maximise benefits for TAC clients and the Victorian community, while providing trusted advice to executives and government.
