About the role
In this newly created role, the Planning and Governance Advisor will deliver expert support and advice across the Community Division, ensuring the successful delivery of key projects and business operations. This role will be pivotal in enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the division by driving business improvement initiatives, key procurement processes, coordinating corporate reporting, and ensuring adherence to TAC policies. A key performance measure will be establishing ways to bridge the gap between governance frameworks and practical execution, finding opportunities to make the complicated simple.
About the Team
The team will consist of a Team Manager, Advisor, and Coordinator with potential for future expansion. The Team Manager emphasises transparent communication, high-quality output and strong stakeholder management, while fostering autonomy within the team. You will work alongside passionate subject matter experts who deliver world-class marketing campaigns, sponsorships and community engagement activities, internal and external communication initiatives, and information, privacy and legislative responsibilities for the TAC.
What we’re looking for
Contract and Project Management Experience
Strong understanding of contract management and project management is crucial for handling the TAC's diverse corporate business requirements.
Stakeholder Management and People Skills
Strong people skills, proficient in problem-solving, stakeholder management, and maintaining solution-focused interactions, ensuring smooth collaboration across teams and divisions.
Strategic Thinking and Business Acumen
A strategic mindset is key, with the ability to identify opportunities, scope and frame initiatives, and influence outcomes. Your business acumen and systems thinking will help drive decisions that align with broader organisational goals.
Passion for Governance and Business Operations
A genuine passion for governance, business operations and logistics, along with enthusiasm for developing systems and processes to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Technical Proficiency
Proficient in Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint, with desirable skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics 365, and various reporting formats to manage the extensive financial and procurement data associated with this position.
