Care in Action

With a career at the TAC, you’ll be helping us look out for the lives of everyone who travels on Victoria’s roads. That’s care in action.

Find out more about our shared purpose, and what drives every one of us.

Right now, we’re seeking a Manager Strategic Value Office who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. That’s truly rewarding work that will help us continue to deliver life-critical services where it matters.

About the role

As the Manager Strategic Value Office, you’ll lead TAC’s centralised strategic investment function at a pivotal moment in our organisations evolution. With a significant transformation program underway you will play a critical role in ensuring our strategic initiatives deliver maximum value and remain tightly aligned with organisational goals. This role requires strong strategic thinking, robust planning capability, and the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders to drive enterprise-wide outcomes. You excel in fast‑paced, dynamic environments and bring a proven ability to lead, empower, and motivate teams to deliver meaningful outcomes. In this role, you’ll drive governance excellence, benefits realisation, and portfolio oversight, ensuring transparent decision‑making and high‑quality performance reporting for senior leadership and the Board.

About the Team

This role sits within TAC’s Performance, Risk & Strategy Division, which ensures the organisation’s strategic direction is informed by clear insights and aligned to ambitious performance goals. The division oversees key functions including Actuarial, Performance Analytics, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Risk Management, and Strategy. As Manager Strategic Value Office, you’ll lead a small, high-performing team of up to three direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement while influencing outcomes across the enterprise.

What we’re looking for

Strategic Thinking & Planning
Demonstrated ability to think critically and strategically, translating organisational priorities into actionable plans and frameworks that maximise value, performance, and long-term outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to engage and influence senior leaders, fostering collaboration and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups to achieve enterprise-wide objectives.

Portfolio Governance & Benefits Realisation

Proven expertise in overseeing strategic investments and benefits tracking, ensuring transparent decision-making, measurable outcomes, and alignment with organisational goals in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Why you’ll love it here

There’s more to work than a competitive salary and amazing employee benefits. As our newest Manager Strategic Value Office, you’ll also:

Make a positive difference

Every day the work you do at the TAC contributes to something bigger. As part of an inclusive, supportive team you’ll find real purpose in achieving goals, together.

Be rewarded for great work

We value our people, offering a service delivery payment, salary packaging and a reward and recognition program.

Grow and go places

We’re invested in your progress. When you work for one of Victoria’s largest and leading workplaces, you’ll receive extensive internal opportunities for development and access to the LinkedIn Learning Digital Hub.
