About the role
As our Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk, you’ll set the enterprise risk agenda and act as the Deputy Chief Risk Officer providing strategic insight, independent challenge and trusted advice to senior leaders. You’ll lead the evolution of our risk frameworks, oversee enterprise‑wide risk analytics and assurance, and help embed a strong, forward‑looking risk culture. With major transformation underway, including a new claims management platform and uplift of our enterprise technology risk capability, this role offers the opportunity to influence meaningful change at scale.
About the Team
The Senior Manager, Enterprise Risk sits within the broader Performance, Risk & Strategy Division. Reporting directly to the Chief Risk Officer (Executive General Manager), this role will manage a small group of specialists and will work alongside senior leaders who are committed to building a modern, risk‑smart organisation.
What we’re looking for
Strategic enterprise risk leadership
We’re seeking someone who brings extensive experience leading enterprise risk in complex, regulated environments, ideally government or insurance. You’ll bring a strong track record shaping risk frameworks, appetite, analytics and assurance, and you’ll be confident influencing senior and executive leaders.
Strong collaboration, influencing and negotiation
You’re skilled at building trusted relationships with senior leaders, regulators and inter‑agency partners, navigating complex environments and influencing decisions with confidence. Your strong network across the risk community enables you to share insights and support consistent, contemporary risk practices.
Forward‑looking risk insight and resilience expertise
You bring a forward-looking approach to enterprise risk, with the ability to translate trends, data and emerging issues into meaningful insights for senior decision‑makers. You’ll assist the EGM in leading crisis management with a strong focus on strengthening our digital and cyber‑related resilience.
